Jeffrey S. Knight

Embalmer, Funeral Director, and Owner

Jeff grew up in White River Junction and graduated from Hartford High School in 1989; he continued his education at the University of Minnesota. While pursuing dual bachelor degrees in Business and Mortuary Science, he received the J.M. Nolte Scholar Award given for academic excellence and overall achievement throughout one’s entire education. He returned to Vermont after working at a funeral home in Minneapolis for a time and purchased the business from his father and uncle in 2004. His philosophy of providing superb service to the community carries on his family’s generational commitment to helping friends and family in the Upper Valley. He believes in treating people fairly and supporting the community. Jeff established an annual tradition of giving back to the community; funds are made available to many diverse organizations including musical instrument scholarships so that all children in our community have access to the arts.

Jeff is the proud father of two children, Carolin and Andrew Knight and helps his wife Amy with dog rescue. He enjoys nature and working in the woods. Jeff is a skilled woodworker, using time-tested and high-quality traditional joinery to build cabinetry and furniture.

Susan C. Watermann

Embalmer and Funeral Director

Originally from Missouri, Susan and her partner David set down roots in Springfield, Vermont several years ago with their four dogs.
