Ludlow, Vermont- William H. Foreman, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon, NH following a brief illness

Bill was born May 1, 1947 in Mount Vernon, NY the son of Charles and Margaret Foreman.  He grew up in Pelham Manor, NY and graduated in 1965 from the Leysin American School in Switzerland. He then went on to obtain a BA in Latin American History from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY.  It was at Hartwick where he met his wife, Ann Elizabeth Mead.  They were married in October of 1974 in Marcellus, NY.  Ann and Bill, made their first home in New York City, where Bill took a job on Wall Street. Later, they moved to Albany, where they had two children, John and Alexis.  Bill's strong love for the outdoors and alpine skiing influenced their decision to leave the busy city life.  In 1990 he and his family made a new, home in the of Ludlow, Vt.  Bill enjoyed a successful 33 career in the finance industry. Bill retired from Morgan Stanley in 2008.

To say Bill loved his family and friends intensely was a massive understatement.  He had an enormous heart and a passion for philanthropy, much of which he did anonymously and with great joy.  He was incredibly handy and spent numerous hours in his garage assembling and disassembling various items. He loved to spend time on Okemo Mountain.  served as the President of OMARA (Okemo Mountain Area Racing Association). He also had loved golfing with friends at Okemo Valley Golf Club. He loved art and had a great eye for it.

Bill is survived by his wife Ann Foreman of Ludlow VT; a son John Foreman and his wife Darcy of Trumbull, CT, and two grandsons, Henry and Charlie Foreman a daughter Alexis Foreman of Lebanon, NH; and a sister Judy Foreman of Cambridge, MA, and several nephews.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held in the summer of 2018 and will be announced in this newspaper.
