William Davis

West Lebanon, NH – William Davis, 90, died Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Hanover Terrace Healthcare.

He was born March 29, 1936, in Bradford, VT a son of Irving and Blanche (Johnson) Davis. William grew up in West Lebanon and graduated from West Lebanon High School, Class of 1955. Following high school, he attended Keene State College, where he met Jane Breen. The couple was married August 22, 1959, and settled in San Angelo, TX where William was based during his time in the US Air Force. While in the Air Force he served in communications, including time in North Africa, before being honorably discharged in 1960. Following his time in the military, the couple lived for a time in White River Jct. and Keene, NH before making their home on Waterman Avenue in West Lebanon, where they spent the rest of their lives. William began working as a driver for Verham News shortly after returning to West Lebanon and continued with the company as it became Hudson News until he retired.

William volunteered on the West Lebanon Fire Department and in his free time loved spending time outdoors especially gardening, fishing, playing softball, horseshoes and in his later years, golfing at courses around the area with a group of close friends. He also enjoyed playing cards, particularly cribbage with his caregiver, Cindy, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

William’s family is grateful for the wonderful care he received from the VA Home Health team including Gail Owen and Dwight Kelly as well as everyone at Hanover Terrace.

William was predeceased by his brother Irving Davis Jr. and a sister Barbara Sadaques.

He leaves his children, Scott Davis (Kimberlee) of Lebanon, Brian Davis of West Lebanon and Debra Hart (Michael) of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Bethany Hart, Marcello Hart, Ashlee Delisle (Jeremy), Scotty Davis (Kerriebeth), Mykel Davis, Taylor Davis (Shane Ovitt), Madison Davis, Angeleena Hodge (Nathaniel), Summer Davis, Mackenzie Davis ( Brett McClaren) and Jackson Davis; great-grandchildren Presley Embry, Vivian Hart, Colbie Delisle, Ainslee Delisle, Cooper Davis, Piper Davis, Tucker Davis, Lillian Ovitt and Easton McClaren and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service for family and friends will be held in the West Lebanon Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
