William W. "Bill" Ryan, 72, a former resident of Windsor, passed away Saturday evening, January 24, at his home in Pittsfield, MA.
He was born July 15, 1938 in Claremont, NH the son of John and Doris (Adams) Ryan. He received his schooling in Cornish, NH and Windsor, VT. He attended Windsor High School. He was employed at the former Bartlett Tree Service in Windsor. He married Ardella Robinson in Southwick, MA on August 18, 1962. He was employed for Asplundh Tree Service for thirty three years and most recently for Davey Tree Service both in Massachusetts, until his retirement in 2001. Bill enjoyed gardening and landscaping, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Jean Starzy.
Survivors include his wife, Ardella M. Ryan, one daughter, Sherri Ryan and her companion, Phil Daviau, one granddaughter, Crystal Ryan, one great granddaughter, Shayle Ryan, all of Pittsfield, MA, three brothers, Louis "Buddy" Ryan of Fairlee, VT, John Ryan of Hartland, VT and Bruce Ryan of Canada.
Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor on Wednesday afternoon, February 9, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
Committal services will be held in the Spring in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor.
