Obituary

Enfield, NH- William "Bill" C. Avery, 79, died Wednesday May 5, 2010 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in White River Jct., VT.

Bill was born September 28, 1930 in Newport, NH, a son of Frederick C. and Lena (Sanborn) Avery. He graduated from the Village school in Enfield. Bill then enlisted into the Air Force where he served his country during the Korean Conflict. Upon his return he enrolled in school in Hartford, CT to learn the refrigeration trade. On January 30, 1954 he married his beloved wife Marilyn Coutermarsh in Enfield New Hampshire where they have lived their complete married life. Bill went on to become a master electrician with the United Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #300 Burlington, VT for 38 years. After Bill retired he and his wife enjoyed spending part of their winters in Panama City, FL.

Bill was an avid Red Sox fax, in his younger years enjoyed Hunting, fishing. But what he enjoyed was spending time with his family, from watching his grandchildren's ball games to an afternoon in with the family. He is a former member of the Hartford Elks BPOE #1541.

Bill is survived by his wife Marilyn Avery; two daughters, Vicki Pellerin and Lori Avery; a son William C. Avery II all of Enfield; five grandchildren, Greg Loupis, Heather Pellerin, John Pellerin, and Nicolas Avery, Michael Avery; four great grandchildren, Ella Mae Pellerin, Liza Cadwell, Tyler Loupis, and Gavin Loupis, a brother Arnold Avery of Windham, ME; three sisters Dorethea "Bunny" Leonard of W. Rutland, VT, Shirley Barnet of Beverly, MA, and Theresa Hill of Enfield.

A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at the Enfield Community Center Monday May 10, 2010 from 1-3PM. Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. assisted with arrangements.
