Wendy Lee Judd

Sharon, VT – Wendy Lee Judd, 46, died at home in Sharon surrounded by her family on Tuesday August 3rd after a courageous six year battle with breast cancer.

Wendy was born January 21, 1964 in Newport, VT the daughter of Duane and Beverly (Hardy) Willis. She graduated from North Country Union High School in Newport in 1982 and later from the University of Vermont. After her schooling she moved to Wilder, VT where she began an accounting and bookkeeping business serving clients throughout the Upper Valley. She later started and became co-owner of WAWECO auto repair in West Hartford with her brother and husband. She remained committed to her businesses during her illness even in the days before her death. She was married to Colin P. Judd March 16, 2003; they have lived in Sharon for the past four years.

She was an active bowler in the Upper Valley, serving as president of NHUSBC. She was also an avid golfer as a member of the John P. Larkin Country Club in Windsor, VT where she served on the Board of Directors. Wendy enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling with her husband. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially at family functions. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend who had a smile for everyone and a commitment to her family until the last moments of her life.

She leaves her dedicated husband Colin P. Judd and son Morgan D. Judd both of Sharon, her parents Duane and Beverly Willis of Derby, VT, her grandmother Thelma Willis of Derby Line, VT, three brothers Wade Willis and his companion Marilynn Scott of West Hartford, VT, Craig Willis and his wife Christine of Derby, VT; Todd Willis and his wife Cindy of Derby, VT; two nieces Jessica and Abby Willis; two nephews Kyle and Nicholas Willis, her mother-in-law Carol Anita Judd of Windsor, VT; her father-in-law Arthur Judd and his wife Carolyn of Morgan, VT, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is predeceased by her grandparents Ethel and Jonathan Hardy, and Melvin R. Willis.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3PM at the Sharon Congregational Church with the Rev. Millie Reynolds officiating. A private committal will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery also in Sharon.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.
