Windsor, Vermont - Wendell Blaine Kibling, 87, of Windsor, died on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at the Gill Odd Fellows Home in Ludlow. Wendell was born on January 6, 1934, to Guy and Flossie (Pitkin) Kibling in Norwich, Vermont. He served in the Vermont National Guard from 1956 until 1972 and was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge 1665 and the American Legion Post 25 in Windsor. Wendell worked in Windsor for most of his adult life, first as a truck driver for several different companies, including the Windsor Highway Department, and later at Cone-Blanchard until his retirement. He loved bowling, fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. He was especially proud of his children and their accomplishments.
He is survived by four children, David Kibling of Barre, Jay Kibling and wife Wendy of Windsor, Brenda Martini and husband Brian of Windsor, and Patty Henderson and husband Terry of Charlestown, New Hampshire; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother and stepfather, Flossie Kibling-Howard and Joe Howard; and first wife, Shirley Kibling.
Services will be held later this summer at the convenience of his family. Memorial donations are appreciated to Silver Towers Camp, a camp for people with disabilities that Wendell enthusiastically supported.
