Windsor, VT- Virginia A. Smith, 88, died Monday, August 9, 2021, at Hanover Terrace Healthcare in Hanover, NH.

Ginny was born December 28, 1932, in Northfield, VT, the daughter of Neil and Ethel (Wyman) Willey. Her mother died at an early age, and she was raised by Erma (Brown) Willey, her stepmother. Ginny graduated from Windsor High School class of 1950. She immediately left for Washington, DC where she went to work for Styles Bridges, a New Hampshire senator, as a secretary. She continued her work in the DC area in the Pentagon and the Criminal Justice Bureau. She also met and married her husband Douglas B. Smith, Jr. in 1963, and they had three daughters.  She later returned to Vermont where she owned and operated Smiths LTD, a restaurant in Windsor, and the Safari Lounge at the Airport in West Lebanon, NH. She was a real estate agent for Town & Country in Windsor and sold time shares at Ascutney Mountain.

She loved to travel and visited all around the United States, Europe, Africa, and New Zealand. She was a fan of both playing and watching tennis. Being a people person, her greatest joy came from spending time and celebrating with family and friends.
