Virginia Louise
Smith
May 28, 1967 – May 6, 2026
Sharon, VT – Virginia L. Smith of Sharon, VT died Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH after a hard battle with pancreatic cancer.
Virginia was born May 28, 1967, to Roger and Mary (Taylor) Smith. She was raised in Hartford, VT. “Jinky” (as she was known by many), and her third husband and high school sweetheart, Dan Aremburg, Jr. blended their family of seven kids and many other adoptive children through the years.
For what they lacked in financial wealth, they raised their family rich with closeness, laughter, and love. She blessed everyone she knew with her care and could always be counted on for a laugh or advice. She was gifted with a wonderful sense of humor (if not a little dark, now and then) and a quick mind, which could always be counted on to see both sides of any situation and offer advice. She loved bird watching, the ocean, NASCAR, and gardening.
She was always so giving and proved right to the end how strong she was. She will live on through the memories she made with those she loved and the lives she changed.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Aremburg, Jr. who died November 2025.
She passed surrounded by the love of the family she leaves behind: her children, Rebecca Audsley, Amber Poole, Debra Cross Bailey, Kim Sanderson, Daniel Aremburg, III, Logan Audsley, Parker Audsley, Garrett Aremburg, and many adopted kids over the years; her siblings, Roger Smith and Terri Ladeau; sixteen grandchildren and one great grandson.
She held a celebration of life before her passing to say goodbyes in person. Any cards or flowers may be sent to her home in Sharon, VT. Interment will take place in the Ladd Street Cemetery in Haverhill, NH at the convenience of the family.
