Obituary

White River Jct., VT – Virginia F. Gosselin, 84, died Tuesday morning at her home in White River Jct. with her family surrounding her.

She was born February 14, 1926 in Hanover a daughter of Homer and Lucy (Bomhower) Farnsworth. She grew up in West Lebanon and graduated from West Lebanon High School Class of 1944. She worked for several years as an operator at New England Telephone in White River Jct. where she met her future husband George "Ted" Gosselin. They were married September 16, 1950 and spent the next forty years happily devoted to one another until his death in 1993. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Hanover Street in White River Jct. where she lived for the rest of her life. After retiring from the phone company Ginny worked seasonally at Shopping International in Norwich.

The Gosselin family enjoyed spending Summers on Mascoma Lake for over forty five years and after Mr. Gosselin's retirement the couple spent many Winters in Bradenton, FL where she continued to visit after his death.

Mrs. Gosselin was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, a former Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed square dancing with the Twin State Squares. She loved dark chocolate and was an avid reader who especially enjoyed Nora Robert novels. She will be remembered for her independent spirit and her whole hearted love for her grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband; a son David "Teddy" Gosselin and her sister Caroline Trottier.

She is survived by her daughter Janice Gosselin Smith and her husband Brian Cloud of Lebanon, NH; a grandson Derek Smith and his fiancé Stacey Morse both of Lebanon; a granddaughter Tiffany Smith and her fiancé Aaron Reney both of Grantham, NH, a step grandson Josh Cloud; a brother Everett Farnsworth and his wife Betty of Lebanon; a brother-in-law Robert Trottier of West Lebanon and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. Friday from 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 11AM with Rev. Constance Moser officiating, burial will follow in the West Lebanon Cemetery.
