Obituary

West Lebanon, NH – Violet M. Bradley, 87, died Sunday September 19th at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH following a brief illness.

She was born July 30, 1923 in Scottstown, Quebec a daughter of Emile and Regina (Provost) Perrault. After moving to the United States at the age of four she attended school in Northfield, St.Albans & Montpelier. She worked briefly as a waitress in Bellows Falls, VT before the outbreak of World War II when she began working for the Canadian National Railroad as Chief Telegram Operator in New London, CT. She was married to Harry Bradley September 4, 1949 in Montpelier, VT. They made their home in Roxbury, VT and later in Northfield, VT where they operated the Pioneer Restaurant for seventeen years. They then lived in Proctorsville, VT before moving to West Lebanon, NH where they have lived for the past 25 years. Since moving to West Lebanon they have operated Big Money Bingo to assist non-profits with fund raising. The Bradley's have spent winters in Zephyrhills, FL for the past twelve years.

Violet was a loving wife and mother who will be dearly missed by all.

She enjoyed golfing and was a member of Carter Country Club in Lebanon. She was also a member of the Order of Foresters in Northfield.

She is predeceased by two brothers Jacques and James Perrault.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years of West Lebanon, her three children, Ronald Bradley and wife Joan of Swanton, VT, Terry Ann Ranney and husband Scott of Cavendish, VT, and Scott Bradley and wife Kathleen of Weathersfield, VT; six grandchildren Barb, Christopher, Jessica, Nathan, Michael and Nicholas; four great-grandchildren Rachel, Brad, Anileah, and Curtis, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT Tuesday from 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10AM at St. Anthony's Church in White River Jct. A committal service will follow later in the day at the Vermont Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center, VT.
