Norwich, Vermont- Vera Ladeau, 92, died, Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Brookside Nursing Home in Wilder, VT.

Vera was born August 3, 1920 in Norwich, VT a daughter of Lewis H. and Mable (Gardner) Powell. She grew up in Norwich and attended the local School house. Vera was married to William Ladeau November 14, 1936 in Norwich.

Vera was a proud member of the Norwich Congregational Church. She was a fine seamstress and loved to collect rocks and other items that she found beautiful or intriguing.

She is predeceased by her husband William Ladeau, four sons Joseph, Raymond, William Ladeau, and Chauncey Ladeau and a daughter Beverly Dyke and a grandson Steven Ladeau

She is survived by five sons: Matthew Ladeau, Willard Ladeau, Kenneth Ladeau and David Ladeau; two daughters Viola and Joyce Dean; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 26th 6-8PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT . Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 2PM at the Norwich Congregational Church with burial to follow at the Hillside Cemetery in Norwich.
