Weathersfield, VT – Tonia L. Bushway, 50, who was reported missing in July of this summer was found October 6th near her home in Perkinsville, VT. Tonia was born in Claremont, NH on October 31, 1970. The daughter of Charles L.and Nancy L. (Allen) Bushway, she grew up in Weathersfield and graduated from Windsor High School in 1989. She met Max Alan Emery and they had two daughters, Toshia and Tiffany. Tonia purchased her home in Perkinsville, VT in 1997. In 2007 a tragic car accident left her disabled and unable to return to work. Despite her disabilities she continued to raise her two daughters and tried to enjoy her favorite hobbies. She loved going to concerts, spending time outdoors enjoying the changing season, wild animals, gardening and nature in general. Tonia will be remembered for her kind heartedness, and good nature. Friends and family said she truly had a "heart of gold".
She is survived by her two daughters, Toshia Emery of White River Jct., VT, Tiffany Emery-Riendeau of Springfield, VT, her father, Charles Bushway of Ascutney, two sisters, Wanda Nickerson and Tammy Bushway both of Ascutney, VT as well as her nieces, nephew and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
