WINDSOR, VT
Thomas G. Levesque, 84, a longtime resident of Windsor, passed away Tuesday morning, August 14, at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor.
He was born November 9, 1927 in Windsor the son of Thomas O. and Annette (Brousseau) Levesque. He received his schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1946. He attended the University of Vermont. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during peacetime.
He married Nancy J. Rice in Windsor on August 20, 1949. He started Levesque Plumbing and Heating in Windsor in 1953, which he owned and operated for many years.
He served on the Windsor Select Board, and was past president of the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center Board of Trustees. He was also a longtime and active member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Armand E. Levesque, Leo P. Levesque and Robert J. Levesque, and one sister, Anne Marie Brooks.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty three years, Nancy J. Levesque of Windsor, two sons, Michael R. Levesque and his wife, Franny of Windsor and Peter G. Levesque of Palmetto, FL, two daughters, Mary Jane Tennyson and her husband, Bob of Bridgewater, VA, and Patricia Levesque of Monckton, VT, four sisters, Sister Alma Levesque of Burlington, VT, Isabelle B. Taysom of Meridian, ID, Jeanne Greeson of Boise, ID, and Claudette Levesque of Boise ID, four grandchildren, Jeannie Surrell of Windsor, Keri Ayn Levesque of Manchester, NH, Steven Tennyson of Harrisburg, VA and Kathleen Tennyson of Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, five great grandchildren, Rachael, Emily, Paige, Griffin and Rylan, several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 17 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor. The Rev. Raphael Nyabenda, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. Committal services will follow in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will follow back at the church hall.
