IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas H.
Hooker
March 6, 1965 – January 28, 2024
Newbury, VT – Thomas H. Hooker, 58, died on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Tom was born in Lebanon, NH on March 6, 1965, to parents Kenneth and Viola Mae (Bragg) Hooker.
Tom was a kind, fun-loving man who loved playing horseshoes and woodworking. He began playing horseshoes in high school and continued for the rest of his life at family get-togethers, with friends, and on leagues, most recently in Canaan, NH last summer. He was an accomplished carpenter and loved to help his family and friends with any projects.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. On clear nights, he and Deborah would sit outside stargazing and most Sundays enjoy a drive together. They loved having the grandkids with them and he would do anything they asked him to, from taking them swimming, building bird houses, or helping them to build cardboard cars so they could have outside movie nights with the projector and pretend they were at the drive-in.
His two cats were special to him, and he enjoyed the antics of his grand-dog, Laurel.
He is survived by his wife Deborah J. (Smith) Hooker; three children Maria A. Thibeault and husband Jeffrey, Brandy L. Hollis and husband Brad, and Jeffrey S. Moulton; five siblings twins Cindy Passner and husband Bruce and Carol Kennedy and husband Ed, Kenneth Hooker, Jr. and wife Carol, Kevin Hooker and wife Marley, and Timothy Hooker; grandchildren Joe, Johnny, Tyler, Gaige, Karley, Parker, and Carter; several step-siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Richard Hooker.
A celebration of his life will be held later this year.
