Plainfield, NH- Theresa Louise Campbell, 80, left our world unexpectedly on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, due to complications from surgery.

Born on January 27, 1946, in Burlington, VT, Theresa was the youngest of ten children born to Roy and Margaret (Porter) Wilcox. Theresa married her best friend, David A. Campbell, and they enjoyed 63 years of marriage.

Theresa dedicated much of her life to her work at Bond Optics, where she was a valued employee for 43 years before retiring in 2011. She worked as a quality control inspector and ended her career as the supervisor of the quality control department.

Outside of work, Theresa found great joy in the beautiful flowers she grew in her many well-planned flower beds. She loved canning and cooking, tending to her gardens, and working alongside her husband on their property. She was an amazing baker and cook, always serving her homecooked meals to her family. As one of her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed rifling through cookbooks for new inspiration.

Theresa also enjoyed traveling to car shows with David, and spending time cruising in their beloved ’57 Chevy Belair. These outings created many cherished memories. Theresa will be dearly missed by her family.

Theresa was predeceased by an infant son, David C. Campbell, a granddaughter, Lauren Campbell; siblings, Richard Wilcox, Earl Wilcox, Buster Wilcox, Walter Wilcox, Ernie Wilcox, Myrtle Jenkins, Lois Passarici, and Dolly Griswold.

She is survived by her husband, David Campbell of Plainfield, NH. She has one child, Wanda Campbell of West Hartford, and was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren: Adam, Kaela, and Morgan. Recently, Theresa proudly became a great grandmother to Maeve Baker. She also leaves behind one sister, Winifred Barksdale of Illinois.

Private interment will take place in the Christian Street Cemetery. Knight Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook found at www.knightfuneralhomes.com
