Obituary

Hartland, VT – Thelma Boiney, 83, died Sunday at her home in Hartland, VT.

She was born April 22, 1926 in Chester, VT a daughter of George and Bessie (Blood) Cole. She grew up and attended school in Chester and later moved to Woodstock to work at the Woodstock Inn. While working there she met Alfred Boiney, they were married April 21, 1956. They moved to Great Barrington, CT and she worked at Benton-Dickson from 1969 until retiring in 1981. While living in Connecticut they enjoyed coming to there camp in Hartland, VT and after retiring moved there permanently. Mr. Boiney died in 1996. Since then she has been able to stay at home with the care of her close friends and neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Paul Potwin.

Thelma loved the outdoors especially hunting. In her younger years she enjoyed baking and sharing what she made with the Potwin children as they got off the school bus.

She is predeceased by her husband and a brother Gordon Cole. She is survived by a sister Lottie Farrar of Springfield, VT as well as six nephews and three nieces.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Silver Lake Cemetery in Barnard, VT.
