Obituary

TERRY HANSON QUATTRONE, of Hanover, NH, beloved wife, mother and friend, died peacefully in her sleep on April 5, 2020. Born in Duluth, MN on July 31, 1929, she was the middle child of the late Francis J. and Eulalie Chisholm Hanson. When Terry was seven, the family moved to Larchmont, NY. She graduated from Georgetown Visitation, Washington DC in 1949, and later received an MA from Manhattanville College, Purchase, NY.

Terry taught school for twelve years, worked as a freelance writer for horse publications and was very involved in volunteering throughout her life.  In 1978, Terry married Joseph P. Quattrone. In 1985, they retired to Pittsfield, VT and Hanover, NH.

Terry was always game for an adventure, whether galloping through the woods on her favorite horse or skiing down the slopes with her family. She raised her five children by herself, and she never complained about anything.  Terry had such an exhuberance for life.   She was a woman of tremendous character, integrity, grace and style. She had a very special love for her family, friends, and her pets, of which she had many.  She lived a big life.  Just to see her smile brought people joy.

Terry was predeceased by her husband, Joe Quattrone and her son, Thomas F. Braun. She is survived by her children, George Braun of Greenwich, CT, Mary-Thérèse Braun of Hardeeville, SC, Elizabeth Jacoby of Hardeeville, SC, Sarah A. Bushing of Darien, CT; and four adored grandchildren, Dirk, Hillary, William and David and two much loved daughters-in-law Pam Braun and Ellen Clarke Braun.

There will be a private memorial. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com
