WEATHERSFIELD, VT - Susan Sikes, 67, died Monday, July 17, 2017 unexpectedly at her home.
She was born August 17, 1949 in Millinsocket, ME a daughter of Donald and Ruth (Warner) MacDonald. Susan graduated from Southwick High School and later from Holyoke Community College both in Massachusetts. She was employed as Chief Clerk at the Pioneer Valley Railroad, this was a job that she truly enjoyed. Susan later went to work for Buckley Associates, where she retired from. In retirement she moved to her dream home in Weathersfield, VT.
Susan enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles but most of all she loved playing wit her grandchildren.
Susan is survived by her life long partner and best friend of 32 years Douglas Lyman; three daughters; Diane Turner of Chester, MA, Hannah Sikes of Whitman, MA and Cherie Martins, also of Whitman, MA; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, James MacDonald of Cheyenne, WY and Paul MacDonald of Madison, AL; and a sister, Barbara MacDonald of Westfield, MA.
Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT assisted with arrangements.
