Obituary

Norwich, VT – Sue Ann Schiller, 88, died Saturday, June 20, 2026, at her home, surrounded by those she loved and cherished.

Sue was born January 3, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of Irwin and Dorothy (Schmidt) Schiller. She attended high school in Bay City and graduated in Fine Arts from Michigan State University in 1960. Subsequently she received a Professional Arts degree from the Art Center School in Los Angeles.

She worked for several years as an art director with two advertising agencies in New York City, and during the 1970s with Sesame Street as director for their various products. After adopting her daughter, Tania, as a single mother, Sue chose to shift her career to better accommodate family life, working as a painter and printmaker.

In the early 2000s, Sue made her home in Norwich. She joined the Two Rivers Printmaking Studio in White River Junction, hosted chamber music concerts and fundraising events in her home for 19 years, and was an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Upper Valley.

Sue is preceded in death by a brother, Roy Schiller.

She is survived by her daughter, Tania Schiller O'Hara, husband Stephen O’Hara and granddaughters Mikayla and Aubrey of Homestead, Florida; grandsons Colin and Bryson O’Hara of Panama City, Florida; her friend of fifty years and partner for ten of those years, Knud-Erik Rosenkrantz of Norwich; and her brother, Irwin O. Schiller, Jr. and sister-in-law Wendy Schiller of Freeland, Michigan. She was loved by multiple nieces and nephews.

Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction has been entrusted with arrangements. There will be no memorial service. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vermont Public or New Hampshire PBS.
