Steven Allen Melendy passed away after a courageous battle with cancer April 26, 2019 at his home in Wilder, VT.

Steve was born February 12, 1957 to Allen & Rebecca (Twiss) Melendy. Growing up in Wilder
and attending schools in Wilder & Hartford, graduating from Hartford High in 1975.
He then went on to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute studying Architectural Engineering
continuing his studies at Boston School of Architecture. After working in Boston for
many years Steve returned to Wilder. Always looking to broaden his horizons he then began a new chapter working for Geographical Data Technology for several years until going back to school for massage therapy, graduating with honors from River Valley College. He enjoyed working at the Aloha Summer Camp as a massage therapist.

An avid reader, Steve was on the Wilder Library Trustees Committee. Steve was a quiet man who loved his family, taking care of his dad until he passed away from brain cancer on November 13, 2018..

Steve is survived by his mother, Becky Melendy of Wilder, VT. Brothers, Dale Melendy and partner Carol Kolenski of White River Jct., VT, Dan Melendy and wife Dorothy of Evans, GA. Sisters, Sandy Danforth and husband Roger of Ormond Beach, FL and Jeanne Emery of Lebanon, NH. Also several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Saturday, May 4 from 5-6pm followed immediately by a funeral at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction.
