Wilder, Vermont – Steven A. Kingsbury, 58 died Sunday evening, October 13, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born January 5, 1955 in Woodsville, NH the son of John and Freda (Kidder) Kingsbury. They lived in Bradford for his first thirteen years before moving to Wilder in 1968. Steven graduated from Hartford High School in 1974 and following graduation was employed at the Hartford School District as a custodian where he worked for the next sixteen years. He was then employed by North Country Equipment as a shipping and receiving clerk. When North Country went out of business, he found employment for the next eighteen yeas at Sabil & Sons in White River Jct., VT in shipping and receiving. He worked right up until his health forced him to stop just a short time ago. Steve was married to Sylvia Price on June 16, 2001. They have made their home in Wilder for the past twelve years.

He was a true Vermonter and loved the outdoors. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, ice fishing, wood working and four-wheeling. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a member and very active with the 4 Wheeler Club out of Bradford. He was also a long time member of the National Rifle Association. Steve absolutely loved to dance. He was friendly and fun, always willing to give you the shirt off his back. Two of his many characteristic that made it easy for Steve to make the countless friends he had acquired over the years.

He is survived by his wife of Wilder, VT, his mother of Wilder, VT, two sons, Joshua A. Kingsbury and his wife, Stacey of White River Jct., VT, Jeremy S. Kingsbury and his wife Jamie of North Hartland, VT, a daughter Sandra L. Kingsbury of Wilder, VT, grandchildren, Aiden, Alexander, Morgan, step son, Milton Farewell of Enfield, NH, step daughter, Jennifer McFarlin of Hartford, VT, step grandchildren, Kimberly, Jessie, Matthew, Christine, Brooke, Marissa, Dakota, Emily and great grandson Mitchell, his two brothers, Mike Kingsbury and his wife Amy of Randolph Center, VT, Gary Kingsbury and his wife Cheri of Bradford, VT, his sister, Patricia Barbour and her husband, Kevin of Hartford, VT also many nieces, nephews and cousins

Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 17th from 6-8pm at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT. A graveside service will be held Friday at the Oxbow Cemetery in Newbury, VT at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers family has requested donations be made to Freda Kingsbury, P.O. Box 124, Wilder, VT 05088, all donations to be used toward the purchase of a headstone for Steve at the Oxbow Cemetery.
