Thetford, VT- Steve Nanopoulos, 62, died Monday, October 18,2021 unexpectedly at his home.

Steve was born July 11,1959 in Valyra, Greece a son of Kosta and Vasiliki (Kessari) Nanopoulos and grew up in Hanover, NH, where he attended school. He got in early start in the family business working at C&A Pizza in Hanover for many years with his siblings. While in school he met his true love Nancy  Mayette, they were later married in 1980 in Glens Falls, NY. They made their home in Thetford and operated Pizzeria's around the Upper Valley.

Steve enjoyed the outdoors and in his younger years, and would snowmobile and hunt. He loved fast things especially cars and boats. He enjoyed watching NASCAR. But his greatest joy was his family

Steve is survived by his wife Nancy Nanopoulos of Thetford, three sons Anthony Nanopoulos and his wife Despinia of Lempster, MA, Nikolaos Nanopoulos of Burlington, VT and Christos Nanopoulos and his wife Kelly of Fairlee, VT; two daughters Kostantina Ortiz  and her husband Raymond of Thetford, Vasilikie Iliopoulos and her husband Yannis of Mount Airy NC; his mother Vasiliki of Valyra, Greece; two brothers, Ernie Nanopoulos of Lebanon, NH and Nick Nanopoulos of Poultney, VT and 2 sisters Voula Tsimikli and her husband Taki of Messini, Greece, Theologia Kapotis and her husband Christos of Woodsville,NH. Along with 7 grandchildren  and 1 great grandchild, Nieces, nephews  and cousins
