Obituary

Wilder, VT – Stephen Lambert, 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with ALS.

He was born November 24, 1951 at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover, NH to Andrew Leon and Rita (Stone) Lambert. He graduated from Hartford High School, Class of 1970.

He married Ruth Tweed on July 25, 1970. Stephen joined the VT Army National Guard, Bradford VT, Company A2d Bn Armor Division and was honorably discharged in August of 1980. He worked for Richard Electric as a journeyman electrician from 1969 to 1994. Proctor and Gamble in Claremont, NH from 1994 to 2004, and Needham Electric Supply from 2004 until his ALS diagnosis in 2012. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and NASCAR enthusiast always rooting for Dale Jr. His favorite hobby was making things with wood for family members.

He is survived by his wife 44 years, Ruth of Wilder, children Heather and husband Jeff LeBlanc of West Hartford, VT and Stephanie and husband Steven Noyes of White River Junction, VT. His most loved grandchildren Caitlyn and Cameron LeBlanc, and Jacquelyn and Hunter Noyes. He is also survived by his mother Rita and brother John and wife Cheryl Lambert all of Sylvester, GA and sisters Mary Lambert of Denver, CO and Elizabeth Lambert of Jay, VT and in-laws, Nancy and Jim Runnals, Clive and Sue Tweed both of White River Junction, Tracy and Donnie Stokes of West Lebanon, NH and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held Friday January 16, from 6-8 PM at the Wilder Center in Wilder, VT. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10AM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River.
Burial will be in the Christian Street Cemetery at a later date.
