Stanley J. Bostwick

Enfield, NH – Stanley J. Bostwick, 81, died Thursday April 8th at Hanover Terrace Healthcare in Hanover, NH.

He was born a son of Harold E. and Clara May (Phillips) Bostwick March 6, 1929 in Bethel, VT. After graduating from Whitcomb High School in Bethel he began work as a carpenter and continued in the trade all of his life. He worked at several construction companies including Connecticut Valley Builders and E.R. Wiggins and retired from Trumbull-Nelson in Hanover as a supervisor after 25 years of service. After his retirement he enjoyed working at Allard's Unfinished Furniture in White River Jct.

Mr. Bostwick was Past President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Lebanon. He loved bingo, slots and trips to Foxwoods, he also enjoyed collecting.

He is predeceased by his wife, Mercedes (Potter) Bostwick in November of 2008.

He is survived by a daughter Kathleen Bostwick of West Lebanon, two sons Stanley James Bostwick Jr. of Unity, NH and Earle Bostwick of Enfield, NH, a step daughter Nancy Mativia of White River Jct. five grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, five great-grandchildren, three sisters Ruth Bostwick of New York, NY, Dorothy Cooper of South Royalton, VT, Arleen Nelson of Bethel, two brothers Carroll Bostwick of Springfield, VT and Reginald Bostwick of Tucson, AZ as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in the Fairview Cemetery 1500 Pleasant Street, Bethel, Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11 AM
