White River Jct., VT - Sheila May Sawyer, 70, died Saturday, August 9, 2025, at home with her husband by her side.

She was born February 3, 1955, in Hanover, NH, a daughter of Russell and Louise (Sheehan) Williams. Sheila lived throughout Vermont and New Hampshire as a young girl, attending schools around the twin states. She met Edward Sawyer while her family was living in Bethel, VT, and they have been a couple since. They settled in White River Jct. in 1979, where they began a family, and have lived since. Ed and Sheila formalized their union in 1991 when they were married on April 27th.

Sheila was a warm-hearted, happy person who was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed listening to music, but most of all, loved being with her family.

She was predeceased by her twin brother, Charles Williams, as well as her brother, Russell "Joe" Williams.

She leaves her loving husband, Edward Sawyer of White River Jct.; daughter, Angela Rose (Jedidiah) of White River Jct.; sons, Jesse E. Sawyer of Norwich and Shane A. Sawyer of White River Jct.; grandchildren, Brianna Sawyer and Nevaeh & Conner Rose; a sister, Carol Ann Sawyer of Canaan, NH and the couples Medical Alert Response Harrier Beagle, "Buddy", who has saved both of their lives multiple times.

A visitation will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. on Saturday, August 16th from 1-3PM with a funeral service beginning at 3PM. Burial will be with her family in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
