Bethel, VT- Scott Alan Hill, 48, of Bethel, VT was the victim of a homicide, On Tuesday November 9 at his home in Bethel.
He was born October 6, 1963 in Randolph VT, the son of Carol Ann Hill. He grew up in Vermont and spent his adult life in Miami, FL and Bethel, VT. Scott had a tree business in Florida. He also worked for a time at Ethan Allen Furniture, for three years at VT Castings, and most recently for eight years at GW Plastics as a janitor. He also spent time scrapping cars an occupation he loved.
Scott loved the outdoors, whether he was fishing, camping, driving the grand prix, four wheeling, or attending the local fairs. He also loved spending time with his dogs, listening to music with friends and family, and especially spending time with his grandchildren, who were everything to him. Scott will be remembered for his generosity. His home was always open to a friend or family member in need.
He is predeceased by his mother Carol Ann, his niece Ashley Elmore, and his close friend Ronnie, who was like a brother to him.
Scott is survived by his five children Joshua Hill and his wife Jessica and children, Jaelynn Hill and Erik Mount, of Bethel, VT; Drake Hill, of Hancock, VT, Jennifer Smith and boyfriend Ryan Ellis and daughter April Ellis, of Strafford, VT; Jamie McDonald of Woodstock, VT, and Scottie Smith, of Norwich, VT; two half brothers, Sean Lumbra and Dennis Hill, of Bethel, VT, two half sisters, Crystal Currier of Randolph, VT and Loretta Lumbra of Bethel, VT, as well as several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
