Plainfield, NH- Sandra A. Yeaton, 79, died Monday, December 1, 2025, at Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor, VT.

Sandy was born June 26, 1946, in New York, NY, a daughter of Henry Burtrum and Augusta (Arnold) Yeaton. She grew up in Cornish and graduated from the Meeting School in Jaffrey, NH in 1964. She was later married to Garth Witty in 1968 in Cornish, NH where they lived for a time before moving to Mt. Vernon, NH. They later divorced in 1982.

Sandy lived for a time in Wilton and worked as a dorm councilor at the High Mowing School. She made her way to Plainfield, NH in 1990 to care for her mother. Following the death of her mother, Sandy worked part time at the post office, as a seamstress at Campions Store until it closed in 2010. She continued to grow her clientele while she worked from home.

Sandy was a member of the Plainfield Community Church where she was both a conductor and a member of the Bell Choir. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing and quilting.

She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Burtum Yeaton; mother, Augusta Comstock; and brother, Henry Yeaton. Sandy is survived by two sons, Sean Witty of Plainfield and Kyle Witty of Skowhegan, ME; three grandchildren; three brothers, Stephen Yeaton of Plainfield, Paul Yeaton of Roanoke, VA, and George Comstock of Olympia, WA; and a sister Pamela Yeaton of Honokaa, HI.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2pm at the Plainfield Community Church. Knight Funeral Home in Windsor assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com.
