White River Jct., VT – Sandra C. Agan, 81, died Wednesday November 29, 2017 at Lebanon Center Genesis Eldercare in Lebanon, NH.

She was born November 24, 1936 in St. Johnsbury, VT a daughter of Henry and Millicent (Farrington) Couture. Sandi grew up in Rutland where she graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy. She was married to John Agan February 17, 1962 at St. Anthony Church in White River Jct. where they made their home the rest of their lives. Sandi began working at the Veterans Administration Hospital in 1964 where she was a dedicated employee for thirty years, retiring in 1994. In addition to the VA she worked at Rich's Department Store and The House of Fabrics both in West Lebanon. After retiring she worked at Price Chopper also in West Lebanon. John died in 2004 and she began spending winters in St. Petersburg, FL in 2007, each year spending more and more of the year there.

Sandi was an avid reader, sometimes reading five different books at a time. She was also an accomplished seamstress of both clothes and pocketbooks. She also enjoyed travelling, bowling, camping, playing cards and dominos, painting, cooking and listening to country and gospel music. She loved spending time with and caring for family and friends especially her grandchildren.

While living in Florida Sandi volunteered at St. Petersburg General Hospital and attended Sacred Heart Church in Pinellas Park, FL, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.

She was predeceased by her husband John; daughter Linda Brown and brother Richard Couture.

She leaves her son Brian Agan and daughter-in-law Martha of Las Vegas, NV; daughter Lori Sherman and her husband Randy of White River Jct.; son-in-law Jerry Brown of Wilder; grandchildren Kari Atkinson, Kati Allen and Kristopher Brown all of Wilder, Richard Sherman and his wife Laura of Middlebury, VT, Randy John Sherman of Dummerston, VT and Robert Sherman of White River Jct., John Anthony Agan II, Joshua Agan and Sarah Agan all of Las Vegas, NV, eight great grandchildren a great-great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves many close friends around the country including her longtime friend Winnie Perkins of White River Jct.

Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., Sunday December 3rd from 2-4PM with a memorial service following at 4PM. Committal services will be held in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
