WEST WINDSOR, VT
Roy E. Fuller, 77, a longtime resident of West Windsor, passed away Thursday morning, July 13 at his home in West Windsor.
He was born December 14, 1939 in Windsor, VT the son of George E. and Mercelene (Robinson) Fuller. He received his schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1958. He was employed at the former Cone Blanchard Machine Tool Company in Windsor as a machinist for twenty five years and later was employed with the Department of Defense in Westminster, VT. He married Shirley E. Rolfe in Brownsville on May 30, 1990. Roy also proudly served thirty one years with the Vermont National Guard. Following his retirement he volunteered at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for several years.
He was fond of riding his motorcycle and loved his dog "Bailey". He enjoyed his solitude and spending time with his grandchildren.
His wife passed away on September 17, 2007. He was also predeceased by his parents, one daughter, Donna Staples, one son, Stewart Fuller, two granddaughters, Jessica and Kathy Staples, one sister, Judy Osgood and one half brother, Dana Fuller.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Jean Rolfe of Orange, VT, one son, Frank Fuller of Charlestown, NH, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one half brother, Steven Fuller and one half sister, Janice Lund, both of Bellows Falls, VT, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening, July 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 19 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Christian Huebner, Pastor of the Brownsville Community Methodist Church will officiate. Committal services will follow in the Brownsville Cemetery in West Windsor.
