Hartland, VT – Rose Marie Lawton, 76, died Monday, October 7, 2025, at her home in Hartland, surrounded by her loving family.

Rose was born February 13, 1949, in Lebanon, NH, a daughter of Stanley and Rose (Laurie) Rogers. She grew up in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1968. She was married to Timothy P. Lawton on September 11, 1971, in Hartland, where they made their home and spent their lives together.

Rose loved working in her garden, birdwatching, putting together puzzles, and playing handheld video games. She was a member of the Hartland Grange and attended Bible studies at the North Hartland Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy P. Lawton, Sr., and a brother, David Rogers.

Rose is survived by her son, Timothy P. Lawton, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Hartland; a grandson, Patrick Lawton of Newport, NH; three brothers, Stanley "Mickey" Rogers of Hartford, VT, Joseph Rogers of South Carolina, and Darryl Coleman of New Hampshire; and two sisters, Deborah Collins and Lori Agan, both of Lebanon, NH.
