Windsor, VT - Rory Lee LaRock, 66, died on Friday, August 8, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 18, 1959, in Rochester, NH and spent most of his childhood in Enosburg, VT. He felt the call of adventure and as a teenager hitchhiked his way across the US and back multiple times. Years later he would continue to recount the stories of that time, life lessons learned, and people who he met along the way. As a young adult he returned home to Vermont and settled in Windsor where he met Sandi Theetge at the block; after a few years, they began dating and formed a family in 1984.

He loved sharing experiences with his family and friends, often hiking Mt. Ascutney, fishing in the lakes, ponds, and rivers, and Friday night poker games. He adored tending his flower gardens, painstakingly painting garden gnomes, and mowing the lawn. He enjoyed his career as a painter with Revered Painting Plus and developed many friendships with his colleagues.

He is survived by his wife Sandi L. Theetge of Windsor; three children Kylie LaRock (Marcus LaFountain) of Ripley, ME, Guy Theetge of Windsor, and Paul Theetge (Ariel Young) of Claremont, NH; one sister Nancy Weatherby of Burlington, VT; six grandchildren Jennifer, Pooler, and Izaiha LaRock and Jack, Jordyn, and Cali Theetge; one great grandchild Everleigh; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Geneva LaRock, his brother Ray Paul, and many other siblings.

A celebration of Rory's life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Cornish Town Hall from 1pm until 4pm.
