Ronald (Ron) Eugene Stillson passed away on July 8, 2025, at the Jack Byrne Center. Ron was born on May 15, 1952, to George Stillson and Elizabeth (Madeya) in Claremont, NH. Ron was raised by his grandmother Grace Stillson after the death of his father when he was two.

He attended elementary school in Ascutney where his grandmother was a teacher. Ron graduated from Windsor High School in 1970. He married Victoria Barton on November 11, 1972, in Ascutney, VT and from there they headed on their honeymoon trip to Golden, Colorado to begin their new adventure. They lived in Colorado until they returned to Vermont in 1985 with their two daughters. Then they settled with their family in Hartland, VT.

Ron was an outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. Known for his somewhat gruff exterior and his 'heart of gold,' he was a quiet and courageous man. One of his proudest moments was when Dylan's football team (Yellow Jackets) won the VT State championship in 2016 in an undefeated season just as his yellow jackets team had done in 1969. He was even more proud when they did it again in 2017. Another proud moment was his perfect 300 game bowling.

He was predeceased by his father George and his grandmother Grace Stillson, his Uncle Jerry and his Uncle Ronnie who were like brothers to him, as well as his half-brother and his mother.

Ron is survived by his wife Victoria (Vicki), daughters Sherilyn (Chris) Valley and Kelly Stillson, granddaughters Kristina and Gabriella Valley, grandsons Dylan and Huntley Stillson, and the light of his life, great grandson Carter (Dylan's son).

He is also survived by his Aunt Pru Russell who he considered his sister, many cousins, friends and a half-sister.
