ANDOVER, VT
Ronald S. Park, 75, a longtime resident of Andover, passed away Friday morning, July 21, 2017 at his home in Andover.
He was born March 18, 1942 in Springfield, VT the son of John and Ruth (Fairbanks) Davison. He has resided in Andover for many years. He served in the US Army for two years and was active duty in the Vietnam War for one year, after which, he was employed by St. Johnsbury Trucking in Bellows Falls for several years, and more recently for Plumb Lumber Company in Andover until his retirement. He married Elsie Firmin in Andover on August 9, 2015.
Ron was a member of the Chester American Legion Post and the Chester Baptist Church. He also owned and operated his family farm where he enjoyed tending to his horses. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Anna Kalinen in 2016.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Park of Andover, three stepdaughters, Destiny (Davison) Doremus of Temple, GA, Ruthellen Davison of Swanzey, NH and Laurel (Firmin) Clater of Derry, NH, one brother, John Davison, Jr. of Kileen, TX, several stepbrothers and stepsisters, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Chester in Chester, VT. Reverend Thomas Charlton, Pastor will officiate. Committal services with military honors will follow at the East Hill Cemetery in Andover. A reception for family and friends will follow at the Andover Community Church.
