Ronald A. Cyr
Quechee, VT – Ronald A. Cyr, 52, died November 12, 2010 in Ascutney, VT.
He was born April 4, 1958 in Milford, MA a son of Richard A. and Geraldine (D'Archangelo) Cyr. Ron grew up and graduated from high school in Braintree, MA where he was the goalie on the hockey team. The family moved to the Upper Valley in 1976 and he has lived here since working as an independent plumbing and heating contractor.
Ron was an avid outdoorsman and spent as much time outside as he could. He loved hunting, fishing, skiing, riding motocross and snowmobiles. He was a member of the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers and active in other outdoor groups. He also enjoyed participating in benefits for David's House, named in honor of his brother.
Ron is survived by his parents Richard Cyr of Claremont and Geraldine Cyr of Quechee, a brother Richard Cyr Jr. of Dayton, TX as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins, locally including an uncle Wally Cyr and his wife Nancy of Ascutney, VT and a cousin Bridget Smith of Hartland. He was predeceased by his brother David Cyr.
Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT Friday November 19th from 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home in Windsor, Saturday November 20th at 11AM with burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in White River Jct.
