White River Jct., VT – Roger Allen Tenney, 74, died Saturday April 11, 2020 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA.

He was born January 9, 1946 in Hanover, NH a son of Norman H and Alice E (Hoyt) Tenney. Roger grew up in White River Jct., graduating from Hartford High School Class of 1964. He then attended the Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston. He was married to Nancy Truell June 18, 1966 in Hartford where he built their home on her family's farm and had lived since. Roger worked most recently as a home inspector.

He enjoyed hiking and snowshoeing on the family property as well as watching the wildlife. He loved to go antiquing or to car shows with his grandsons and loved to cook a good meal for his family. He always had a woodworking project going, making many beautiful items for family. He enjoyed deer camp in the fall and eagerly awaited the first trip to Camp in Canada each spring.

Roger loved to tell a good story and enjoyed the company of friends and neighbors. Family was everything to him and watching his grandsons activities brought him a lot of joy.

He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy, in 2015 as well as his brother Norman "Jack" Tenney Jr. and sisters, Nancy Newhall and Ethel Tenney.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Heather Tenney and husband Mark Lim of Reading, MA; beloved grandsons Jacob and Riley; his sister Janet Dyer and many loving nieces and nephews.
