Wilder, Vermont – Robin L. Gray, 54, passed away Friday, February 26, at her home after a long hard battle with cancer.
Robin was born November 5, 1961 in Hanover, NH the daughter of Frank and Antoinette (DeLauri) Marcou. She graduated from Hartford High School in 1979 and then later in June of 2004 from Lebanon College with an Associate of Science Degree in Business. Robin married Matthew Gray on August 11, 1984. Robin started her banking career in 1981 at the National Bank of Lebanon/First NH Bank, Marble Bank, Landmark Bank, and Lake Sunapee Bank. Later in 1997 she began her long career with Mascoma Bank. She worked first as a cashier and then in 1999 she became a finance supervisor and in 2006 a finance manager. Robin became an officer of the Bank in 2013. She was forced to retire due to her illness. In spite of her medical issues Robin kept a positive attitude and used all resources available to her to maintain a good quality of Life. Her sense of humor, her friendships both inside and outside the Bank, and her dedication to her department, the Bank, and especially her family will never be forgotten.
She loved to travel especially with her husband and sister whom she traveled across the country with twice. She also enjoyed cruising, camping, visiting the casino. She was a huge fan of the New England Patriots and NASCAR. She also loved to fish.
Robin was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Thomas Marcou. She is survived by her husband, Matthew J. Gray, a sister, Marie Hurlburt and her husband Bud of Winchester, NH, two brother-in-laws, Mark Gray of Heron, Montana, Michael Gray of Lapine Oregon, two nephews, one niece, two great nephews and two great nieces as well as two God Children.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, March 5, from 10AM – 12 noon at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 12 noon. Burial will be held at a later date in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in White River Jct., VT.
