West Lebanon, NH – Roberta "Bobbi" Martin, 73, died unexpectedly on Tuesday July 3, 2018 at home in West Lebanon.

She was born April 22, 1945 in Medford, MA a daughter of Charles R. and Dorice (McCloud) Howland.  Bobbi graduated from Medford High School and met George Martin while he was a student at MIT.  They were married April 17, 1966 in Medford and lived in several places while George served in the US Army.  After his discharge they lived in Moline, IL for a time before moving to the Upper Valley to be closer to family, they have lived in West Lebanon since 1998.  Bobbi worked for many years at JC Penny retiring in 2006.

She enjoyed cooking shows and loved to watch soap operas especially the classic 1960's show Dark Shadows .  Bobbi was an animal lover who adopted all types of animals her family brought to her but she had particular soft spot for cats.  More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by a brother Larry Howland, two sisters Susan Howland and Priscilla McGrath.

She leaves her husband of fifty two years, George, of West Lebanon; sons Robert G. Martin and his husband Eric of Dahlonega, GA and Charles S. Martin and his wife Valerie of West Lebanon as well as two grandchildren Michael Martin and his fiancé Lindsey Hurd and Katie Martin.

A visitation will be held Friday July 13 ^th from 6-8PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday July 14 ^th at 10AM with burial following in the Hillside Cemetery, Norwich, VT.  A potluck reception will follow at the Martin's home.
