Hartland, VT- Robert "Rob" Shute, 73, died unexpectedly, Friday, April 24, at home.

Rob was born August 9, 1946 on the family farm in Hartland, VT, a son of Neal and Grace (Murphy) Shute. He graduated from Windsor High School class of 1964, when he took over the family dairy farm, following his father's death. In April of 1979 he was married to the love of his life Robin Blaise they continued to work the farm together and raised a family. Rob's house was his castle. His family was everything and he enjoyed having people around him. Rob enjoyed hunting and spending time in the woods. Snowmobiling and keeping court in his garage surrounded by friends. He loved listening to old country music and was a diehard Yankees fan.

Rob is predeceased by a son Neal; two brothers Neal and Clifton and a sister Velma.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Robin, a son Nathan Shute and his wife Sarah; a daughter Tara Stearns and her boyfriend Kevin Connors; four grandchildren Samantha, Garran, Trevin and Kobin; two great-grandchildren Evelyn and Jameson; a sister Anne Alfonso all of Hartland; Chris Horstman who was a just like a son and too numerous other friends to even start to mention.
