Robert George Gorham

Brownsville, VT – Robert George Gorham passed away at his home on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 66, with his loving family by his side. Bob was the second son born to Edward and Joanne (Steiner) Gorham on July 5, 1960, in Staten Island, NY. The family soon moved to the Hillsdale, NJ area where he spent much of his childhood and young adulthood. He attended Rutgers University for his undergraduate and master’s degrees. After graduating with his master’s degree Bob’s next big steps brought him to London where he would begin his career in the financial sector. While golfing with visiting family members in Ireland he met Juliette Wilkinson-Kerin and it was love at first sight for them both. Within 6 months they were engaged and they were married about a year later on June 4, 1988.

Bob and Juliette soon moved to New Jersey and welcomed twin daughters Victoria and Emily to their family. They spent most of their winter weekends and vacations at their home in Killington, VT and became full-time residents in 2004. Long Beach Island, NJ (Barnegat Bay or Beach Haven) and Bermuda were other staples for the family, where they would enjoy weeks of laughter, swimming, and fun as a family during the summer months. He loved being a dad and was overjoyed to share his hobbies and knowledge with his daughters and their friends. Skiing, sailing, cheering on his beloved New York sports teams, and sitting around a fire telling stories was always more fun when they were all together.

In a quiet and kind way, he naturally made others feel safe, welcomed, and valued for just being who they were. Bob’s effortless ability to have the entire room laughing and smiling will never be forgotten. His compassion and generosity knew no bounds as the happiness, security, and well-being of the people he loved was always at the forefront of his heart and mind. Even when he was struggling, caring for the people around him was an integral part of who Bob was.

He is survived by his wife Juliette Anne Gorham of Brownsville, VT; two daughters Victoria Louise Gorham (Josh Morse) of Proctor, VT and Emily Anne Gorham (Owen Rhoad) of Brownsville; four siblings Edward Gorham, Jr. (Angie) of Fabius, NY, Maryann Titone (Chuck) of Fernadina Beach, FL, John Gorham (Dawn) of Birmingham, AL, step-siter Lisa Durkin (Lenny) of Jacksonville, FL, and step-brother Ted Jenney (Lynn) of Massachusetts; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father Edward Gorham, Sr, mother Joanne Jenney, and stepfather Miles “Mick” Jenney.

Bob would often use a quote from Winston Churchill during times of difficulty, “K.B.O” or, “Keep Buggering On”. Knowing Bob’s love will act as a source of strength in his family’s efforts to “K.B.O”. Rest in Peace now, Robert George Gorham, and may he always know how truly loved he was and will always be by his family and friends. We will certainly never forget how much he truly loved all of us.

There will be a celebration of life for Bob at the Mountain Top Inn and Resort (Chittenden, VT), November 22nd, 2026 at 2:00pm. Lodging arrangements for visitors can be made.
