Robert Mark Donnelly

Claremont, NH – Robert Mark Donnelly, 66, died on Sunday, February 22, 2026, following a period of declining health. Bob was the youngest child born to Evan and Alice Lee (Monahan) Donnelly in Copiague, NY and the family soon moved to the Upper Valley. As a young teen, Bob discovered a love of engines. He became a fixture at the VW mechanic in White River Junction where they taught him what they knew and he developed his mechanical talents. Through the years he farmed, worked for John Deere, and finally opened his own small engine repair service, Boladon Motor Sports.

He meticulously restored antique snowmobiles to rideable condition which won many trophies at shows. Bob participated in antique rides and shows all over the area, most recently the Hurricane Riders antique sled rally.

He married Lawrencetene “Lawrie” Fox on November 20, 1982, and as a family, they enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, and spending summers at the family camp in Ryegate.

Bob always had a project to work on and even towards the end of his life, continued to work in his garage assisted by one of his great grandsons.

He is survived by his wife Lawrie Donnelly; five children Shawn, Erin, Greg, Perley, and Vicki; his mother Alice Donnelly; four siblings Evan, Jr. “Bud”, Marie, Bruce, and Lois; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother & sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service followed by a pot luck lunch will be held at the American Legion, Post 25, in Windsor, VT from 11:30am-2pm on Friday, March 6, 2026.
