IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert E.
Clark
May 16, 1948 – December 25, 2021
Bradford, Vermont - Robert E. Clark, 73, of Bradford, Vermont, died on Saturday, December 25, 2021, in Lebanon, New Hampshire after a battle with cancer. Bob was born on May 16, 1948, in Springfield, Massachusetts to Edward N. and Nancy B. (Thomas) Clark and graduated from Minnechaug Regional High School in Wilbraham, Massachusetts in 1968. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Bob was an experienced and talented master carpenter, having begun to learn the trade from his father and grandfather at the age of 12. Over the years, he worked all over the country and especially loved his time in western United States. He moved to Norwich, Vermont to be closer to his parents and in 1994 reconnected with a friend from his high school years, Christine Welch. On July 8, 1995, the two were married at Union Village Methodist Church and made their home on a lovely mini-farm in Thetford. In 2017, they decided to downsize to a smaller place in Bradford and he kept up his carpentry, creating cherished heirloom wood creations for his family and people all over the Upper Valley. He and Christine were active members of the United Church of Thetford and later, Grace United Methodist Church in Bradford.
He is survived by his wife, Christine H. Clark of Bradford; one daughter, Jade Killian and husband Chris of Kirkland, Washington; two step-children, Matthew DiBiaso and wife Heather of Windsor Locks, Connecticut and Molly Stone of Bradford; two siblings, Phyllis Hiltpold of Longmeadow, Massachusetts and Kenneth Clark and wife Pat of Naples, Florida; seven grandchildren, Henry, Gus, Charlotte, Scotland, Eoin, Carter, and Erika; two rescue dogs, Sheba and Mikey; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Don Clark; and recently his beloved Boxer dog, Doppler.
A Celebration of Life will be held during the summer of 2022 and memorial donations are appreciated to an animal rescue group of choice. Knight Funeral Home of White River Junction, Vermont has been entrusted with arrangements and online condolences may be extended at www.knightfuneralhomes.com
