Robert E. Bacon

West Lebanon, NH – Robert E. Bacon, 76, died Monday October 18th at his home in West Lebanon surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer.

He was born July 24, 1934 in Randolph, VT a son of Arthur and Bessie L. Bacon. They moved to Windsor, VT while he was a young boy and he graduated from Windsor High School. Bob served in the US Air Force for several years and was married to Barbara Eastman. He lived and worked in construction in many places around the world while raising their family, until their divorce. While living in the Upper Valley area Bob worked as a foreman at Trumbull-Nelson Construction in Hanover for many years. He also worked at the Valley News and then as a deliver driver at Serenity Powerplus before retiring. He was married to Rowena Balgobero in Rutland, VT in 1997.

Bob was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge #18 in Windsor, VT and loved spending time with his boat.

He was predeceased by two brothers Edward and Arthur Bacon and six sisters, Alice Lee, Thelma Page, Della Day, Arnita Lewis, Mona Erskine and an infant sister.

He is survived by his wife Rowena of West Lebanon, a daughter Kim Fogg and her husband Vernon of West Hartford, VT; two sons Kevin D. Bacon and Kirtlen D. Bacon both of White River Jct., VT; five grandchildren Saundra Black, Kattie Allen, Christian Fogg, Kevin Kenyon and Cory Clark; a great-grandson Lewis Black; a brother William Bacon of Windsor, VT and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor, VT Saturday October 23 at 1PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice, 107 Newport Rd, New London, NH 03257
