Quechee, VT – Rita Elaine Rogers, 67, died unexpectedly at home in Quechee on Sunday October 21, 2018.

She was born October 31, 1950 in Sharon, VT a daughter of Roy and Ramona (Clogston) Rogers.  Rita grew up and lived most of her life in the town of Hartford.  After attending Hartford High School she worked as a waitress at several local restaurants including the Hartford Diner, Brooksie's in Sharon, VT and The JC Penny Restaurant in West Lebanon.  She also worked as the deli manager at P&C which later became Grand Union in both White River Jct. and Bradford, VT.

Rita enjoyed sewing and working in her flower gardens but most of all loved spending time with family, especially time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Roy Rogers and Ramona Schwarz as well as two brothers Charlie Rogers and Wayne Schwarz.

She leaves three sons Scott Rogers and his wife Wendy of Quechee, Doug Rogers and his wife Heather of White River Jct. and Chad Rogers of Lebanon; eight grandchildren Jason, Jenna, Jamie, Devon, Hailey Chloe and Charlotte Rogers and Lucas Schwarz; two great grandchildren Stephen Taylor and Gabriel Murphy;  four brothers Rick Rogers of Virginia, Ron Clogston of Wilder, VT,  Roy Rogers and Walter Schwarz both of South Carolina; three sisters Diane Strout of North Hartland, Susan Schwarz of South Carolina and Cynthia Underhill of White River Jct. and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. on Thursday October 25 ^th from 6-8PM.  A private committal will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Sharon at a later date.
