Sharon, VT – Richard Levi Gobeille, 42, died Sunday, March 28, 2021 in South Royalton, VT.

He was born September 9, 1978 in Lebanon, NH a son of Fred and Jennifer (Harvey) Gobeille. Growing up, Richard was active in sports and Boy Scout Troop 232 in White River Jct. where he earned his Eagle Scout. After graduating from Hartford High School Class of 1996, he was a Cadet at Norwich University.

Richard loved cars and especially loved taking his father's 1959 Corvette for a drive. When he was 16, he began working at Northern Motor Sports washing cars and cleaning up the shop and worked his way to service manager. After 25 years with the company, he came to think of his bosses, Mike, and Jeff Zack as family.

He was an avid outdoorsman and particularly loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed time at the family cottage on Mascoma Lake in the summer and snowmobiling in Erroll, NH in the winter. Richard was a talented golfer and was a member of the John P. Larkin Country Club in Windsor where he was club champion in 2018.

Richard will be fondly remembered by all who knew him as a fun-loving guy who always brought a smile to your face. He loved being surrounded by people and always had time for anyone.

He is survived by his parents, Fred and Jennifer Gobeille of Sharon; brother Patrick Gobeille and his wife Meghan of West Lebanon; maternal grandmother Joan Green of Florida; his significant other Nadia Jean and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021, from 6-8 pm at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. To abide by capacity limits, guests should wait in their vehicles and funeral home staff will escort you in as space allows, in the order that you arrive. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 17 ^th in the barn at the Gobeille Farm in Sharon with a memorial service at 1PM and a reception to follow.
