Sharon, VT - Richard G. "Doc" Rhodes, 88, of Sharon died on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Cedar Hill Health Care Center in Windsor, VT. He was born on March 20, 1933, in Hanover, NH to George and Beatrice (Hood) Rhodes and grew up in South Strafford. At the age of 15, he took his first job doing carpentry and also assisted his father at the family's automobile repair garage. On August 7, 1955, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Jean Harrington in Bethel, VT and for many years, ran an automotive repair shop out their home in Sharon until his retirement in 1977.

He is survived by two children, Kevin Rhodes of Rocky Point, NC and Debbie Rhodes of Wilder, VT; one sister, Jean Kenison of Sharon; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister, Leddie Rhodes.

A graveside service will be held later this year at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
