Thetford Center, Vermont – Richard "Rick" C. Bragg, 57, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, July 11, 2018, at his home in Thetford Center, VT after his battle with cancer. Rick was born June 19, 1961, in Lebanon, NH, the son of Carroll K. and Frances M. (Chaplin) Bragg.

He lived his entire life in Thetford. He attended Thetford Academy and worked part-time for a builder, Bruce Adams. Rick was a quick study and became quite a skilled carpenter. Later, he worked for several other builders including Jim Masland and Hugh Rostad of Norwich, VT, before going to work for himself for many years.

The past few years he was employed by Jay Campion, owner of Jay Mark Property Management of Hanover, NH. Rick was forced to stop working in February 2018.

Rick's favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, and foraging for wild mushrooms. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends.

Rick was predeceased by his father, Carrol Bragg, who died this past February. He is survived by two daughters, Mandy Bragg of Orford, NH, Brandy Moffet of Bucksport, ME, his mother, Frances Bragg of Thetford Center, VT, five brothers, Jeffrey Bragg of Wilder, VT, James Bragg and wife Pamela of Lebanon, NH, Daniel Bragg and wife Donna of Thetford Center, VT, Terry Bragg and wife Barbara of Sharon, VT, Tracy Bragg and partner Diane of Henniker, NH, his grandchildren, Dakota Burgess, Hunter Bragg, Adriana Moffet, Eliza Moffet, Jett Moffet, Siren Moffet, Mathias Moffet, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Thetford Volunteer Fire department are appreciated.
