Wilder, Vermont – Richard A. Bebeau, 82, died Tuesday night, March 15, 2016, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in White River Jct., VT. He was born January 17, 1934 in Wilder, VT the son of Edward E. and Doris (Bouchier) Bebeau. He attended school in Wilder and then worked as a carpenter for his father's contracting Business. Richard served in the U.S Army and was stationed in Germany. He received an honorable discharge On April 19, 1958. He returned to the Wilder and continued to work for his father and then later for other area contractors. His most recent employment was at CDF Building Products in White River Jct. where he worked until his retirement. He lived in Wilder all of his life until he moved to Riverbend Residential Care Home in Chelsea, VT in 2005 where he received excellent care.
Richard enjoyed fishing and hunting especially deer hunting. During his retirement he liked to build and sell picnic tables and whirlybirds.
He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Bebeau, Jr. and a sister, Lucille Butler.
Richard is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Langley of Lebanon, NH, Rita Mace of Quechee, VT, Joyce Napolitano of Whitehouse, TX, a brother, Ron Bebeau of Wilder, VT as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday, March 21, at 11:30 AM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in White River Jct., VT.
