Obituary

Canaan, NH- Richard A. "Dick" Pecor, Jr., 63, formerly of White River Junction, VT died at his home in Canaan, NH on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

Dick was born July 9, 1960, in Burlington, VT to Richard and Carolyn (Terrier) Pecor. He grew up between  White River Junction, VT with his Step Dad Jim Fielder and Mom Carolyn, and Burlington, VT with his Dad Richard and family. Dick graduated from Hartford High School in 1978. Shortly after, he enlisted in the US Navy and served aboard the USS San Diego stationed out of Norfolk, VA. After finishing his term of service, he returned to the Upper Valley and met the love of his life, Ona Rogers in 1982. They were married on August 20, 1983, and began to raise their children in White River Junction, VT before moving to Canaan in 2016.

Dick's first career after returning home was at Kelton Motors. He later joined the family business, Jim Fielder Services, where he worked in the parts department and overtime expanded his skillset to many other parts of operations. In 2005 he embarked on a new career as a bus driver for Advanced Transit until a health decline in 2022.

Dick loved to spend time with his family and they spent many wonderful weekends camping in North Stratford through the years and riding snowmobiles during the winter. He and Ona had seemingly endless adventures on their motorcycles and side-by-side four-wheeler. In recent years, he was a proud grandfather, giving his grandchildren anything they wanted and loving every minute of it.

Dick is survived by his wife Ona Pecor of Canaan; three children Justin Pecor and wife Elizabeth, Mandi Pecor, and Megan Hurley and husband Cody, all of Canaan; his mother and stepfather Carolyn and Jim Fielder of Dade City, FL; two sisters Kelly Pecor of Enfield and Penny Hughes and husband John of White River Junction; two half-sisters Kari Pecor of St. Albans, VT and Kim Larivee of Canada; five grandchildren Cameron, Cloey, Charleigh, Graton, and Jameson; many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Richard A. Pecor, Sr.
