IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Randy L.
Sherman
October 24, 1964 – February 28, 2020
Randy Sherman, 55, died Friday February 28, 2020 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH following a three year illness.
He was born October 24, 1964 in Barre, VT a son of Leon C. and Linda M. (Kezer) Sherman. Randy grew up in the Central Vermont area including Chelsea, Washington and Barre before moving to West Lebanon in 1984. While working at Rich's Department Store, he met Lori Agan and they were married five months later on June 17, 1985 in West Lebanon. That same year Randy began working at Pike and has been driving for them for the past thirty-four years. He enjoyed his time with fellow drivers at Pike including Tim, Dickie, Mike and others. Randy regularly earned bonuses for keeping his work truck in such fine shape. He took great pride in his vehicles both at home and at work especially his beloved black Ford F-150. When Pike closed for the winter, he worked at the Lebanon Airport with his close friends Tim and Smitty. Randy also served in the Vermont National Guard for several years.
He enjoyed hunting with his buddies as well as watching NASCAR races, especially Richard Petty. He collected a variety of Richard Petty memorabilia as well as Hot Wheels, knives, M&M's and Legos. He was known near and far for his Randy Burgers and for the past three years enjoyed weekly games of Phase 10 and Mexican Trains with close family friends Michelle and Stacy Noyes. Just like his vehicles, Randy liked to keep his home looking good and enjoyed mowing his lawn and making improvements around the house.
He was predeceased by his mother, Linda Sherman; sister, Rose Perkins; in-laws, John and Sandi Agan and sister-in-law, Linda Brown.
He leaves his wife, Lori, of White River Jct.; sons Richard and wife Laura of Middlebury, VT, Randy John of Brattleboro and Robert of White River Jct.; grandson David; sister Terry and husband Gordie Perkins of White River Jct,; brothers Clifton Sherman of Barre, VT, Brian Sherman and wife Rebecca of Spokane, WA; sisters Connie and husband Gary Goodrich of Vershire, VT and Chrissy and husband Scott Goodrich of Vershire, VT; a daughter Olivia of Hartford, VT as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews including Kati Allen and a great nephew Jaxson.
